January England 2021: January Dawn, for Rose

January Dawn

What colour the snow on the roof of the barn?

Pink ice in the puddles

Pink cherry the dawn

What colour the first light of frost on the field?

Soft blush on cold mud on cold mud so cold

What dark shape the blackbird fast swooping and low?

What far cry the corn crake?

What sound the cock crow?

Fire burst of grenadine sun glory rise

What colour the life it would light in your eyes?
